The Second Time Around (Belanger Creek Ranch Book 1) Kindle Edition by Gloria Antypowich

I started reading this series backwards, but I was so enthralled by book 4 that I just knew I had to read the entire series.
The Second Time Around is the first book in the Belanger Creek Range series. I read this book in one sitting. It drew me right in and held me there until the wee hours.
Frank Lamonte is a vet who had a few emotional shocks, including a broken engagement, in a relatively short amount of time.
Colt Thompson is determined to keep women at arm’s length after he divorces a cheating wife.
Colt and Frank meet and sparks start flying, but Colt is convinced that Frank is just another liar just like his ex-wife. Hmm, will Colt and Frank set aside their hurt and fears and take a leap of faith, or will they run the other way? I found myself rooting for both of them.
Gloria Antypowich is a talented author. She has created characters that feel real and the reader can relate to them. I’ll buy the next book in the series now.

NAKED TRUTHS About Getting Book Reviews by Gisela Hausmann

Asking your readers to write a review for your book is almost as difficult as if asking them to let you pull their teeth. Or so I thought. I wanted to read this book for a long time, wanting to know what Gisela could tell me that I didn’t already know. It turns out, a lot.
While she doesn’t offer a quick fix of “how to”—not that I expected one—this book pointed to me the tools I didn’t know I had. I finished the book empowered with knowledge, and hope. I can do this. Thank you

A Second Chance (The Belanger Creek Ranch Series Book 4) by Gloria Antypowich

When I grabbed this book, I didn’t realize it was part of a series. Now that I know, I want to read every book in the series.

It’s hard to fall in love when you can’t make your past part of your future. Or is it? That’s what Sarah Brite is likely wondering when she allows herself to be happy with Grayson McNaughton. But his past leaves her shivering and ready to run. She had done it once, she could do it again. Except that this time, her son, Taylor, has grown attached to Grayson, and he does not want to leave him behind. So she has to decide to listen to her son, or to listen to her heart?

Gloria did an amazing job delving into the emotions of her characters, emotions that so many single parents struggle with.
Well done.

Naked News for Indie Authors: How to Get on TV by Gisela Hausmann

Getting your work on TV is likely every author’s dream, and Gisela makes it sound as easy as 1,2,3. I loved the great information she provides. The book is invaluable for anyone who wants to get more visibility for their books…or business, for that matter. Highly recommended.

Liberty Betrayed: An Act of Tyranny by Linda L Barton

In spite a crumbling economy Sandley, Texas is small and peaceful town where the biggest crime is a vicious cat attacking the mailman. When an investor reopens a plant to make energy efficient windows promising to create hundreds of jobs for the locals, everyone is excited. However, the Federal Government has other plans when they bring in illegal workers, and with them a splurge of crimes and other problems.
Liberty Betrayed is a fictional story, however, it is eye-opening, thought-provoking, because it portrays similar real stories happening all over the US/Mexico borders. Well written, fast-paced with believable characters, Liberty Betrayed is a page turner. I recommend it.

Pure Justice: No Escape, Paid in Blood by Linda L Barton

Two man, two veterans with some similar backgrounds approach the lack of justice very differently, or do they?
The story’s depth is thought-provoking. Could the lack of justice push a decent human being to such extents? You can’t help but ask yourself: what would you do?
Fast-paced, quick read, interesting characters, Pure Justice is a beautifully written book.

The story drew me in from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

Bridge to Xanadu (Miz Mike Series Book 3) by Stephanie Parker McKean

Bridge to Xanadu is one of those books you love to curl up on the comfy couch – lighthearted combination of romance, mystery, murder, suspense, and humor on top. What more do you want in a book?

Miz Mike, a mystery writer apparently unable to separate her real life from the lives of her characters, is one of the most interesting characters you’ll ever find in a book.

Stephanie Parker McKean did an incredible job crafting the characters and the storyline. She has written Christian fiction full of humor, rich description, and surprising plot twists.

Twin Mischief: The Good Curse by Carrie Vaught

Princesses, king, queen, magical forests, animals and the ever-present evil witch. Nothing is missing from this book full of adventure. It’s a fun story for every age and I loved the illustrations throughout the book. My grandchildren are 11 and 12 and they loved it. I highly recommend it for your little ones… and older ones.

The Threshold by Anita Kovacevic

What lucks in pages more than makes up in the storyline. When I first started reading it I thought it would be a simple ghost story. I was wrong. This is a thought-provoking little story about greed and consequences. It makes you take a hard look at your own life and ask yourself, “Is it worth it?”
